Walk to the driveway's end and picnic at the Blue Ridge Parkway's overlook of the Balsam Orchards. Walk a mile up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and see the gorgeous Cascade Waterfalls overlook and see the luminated cross at top of Mount Lynn Lowery. Within ten minutes of the property are great small mountain town activities, like the Great Smoky Mtn Railroad, whitewater float trips and working artisan shops in Dillsboro, creative eclectic dining, entertainment and shopping in Sylva, and mountain shopping and festivals at their finest in Waynesville. The Balsam Mountain Inn, less than 3 miles from the property offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also offer mountain music on weekends. As a private getaway for you and your family focusing on nature and outdoor activities.
Access: Last 8/10 mile is gravel. High elevation, so expect snow in winter months.
